Care during this time can include:

Daytime

  • Caring for baby while you rest or step out for a breath of fresh air or walk. Making sure you are S.A.F.E. (we cover the meaning of this).
  • Help with learning and mastering newborn care (baby-wearing, feeding, comfort solutions, nap scheduling, etc.)
  • Household maintenance – laundry, general tidying or baby organizing.
  • Joining you and baby for errand runs so you can get acclimated to getting outside with your new sidekick. Can also run the errands for you.

Overnight

  • These are 7 or 8 hour shifts with flexible start times in the evening, but usually begin between 10 and 11pm concluding at 5 or 6am.
  • The same tasks are completed as daytime care so the family can fully rest. Including total care of baby, feeding by your preference, light household maintenance and prepping for the next day (washing pump parts, meal prep)
